Front doors that take London weather personally

A uPVC front door is the low-maintenance answer for terraces and flats where a timber door has swollen, dropped or simply given up. Ours are built on a reinforced 70mm profile with panelled or glazed slabs, in white, anthracite grey (RAL 7016), black, Chartwell green or woodgrain foils, with dual-colour if the inside should stay white. Obscure, patterned or laminated glass fills the vision panels, and every leaf is hung on adjustable flag hinges so it closes with a click, not a shove.

Round the back

Back doors, French doors and sliders

uPVC back doors do the school-run duty: half glazed for light, solid panelled where the bins live, always with the same locking spec as the front. French doors and inline patio sliders come off the same line and match your uPVC windows pane for pane, so the rear elevation reads as one job, not three eras. Prefer a slab with more weight to it? Compare our composite front doors before you decide.

Security

Multipoint locking, explained honestly

Lift the handle on one of our doors and the mechanism throws hooks, bolts and rollers into the outer frame at three to five points along the full height of the leaf. That spreads any attack across the whole frame instead of one latch, which is why insurers like it. We pair it with an anti-snap euro cylinder, and uPVC door installation is finished with keeps adjusted so every point actually engages, the step most rushed fitters skip.

Already have a uPVC door that will not lock? The gearbox is usually replaceable: see uPVC door repairs before you buy new.

Our own factory

Every door starts on our own factory floor.

Most installers order door slabs from a catalogue and trim them to fit. Ours are made to measure by our sister company Prime Fabrication, factory direct with no middleman. Your opening is laser-measured at the free survey, the sizes go straight to the fabrication bench, and the finished door arrives welded, glazed and toe-and-heeled for your frame alone. That is why a wonky Victorian brick opening does not add weeks to the job, and why remakes are rare.

Fitting day

Fitted, sealed, certified

Fitting takes around half a day per door: the old door and frame come out, the new frame is packed level and plumb, fixed through the reinforcement, foamed and sealed inside and out, and the multipoint keeps are adjusted until every hook bites. Qualifying replacement door installations are registered through FENSA for Building Regulations, workmanship carries an insurance-backed guarantee, and we hold public liability insurance with Simply Business. If a glazed panel gets broken at any hour, before or after the job, our 24/7 emergency glazing team answers the phone. For the full range, including aluminium and heritage options, start at the window and door installation hub.

Questions

uPVC doors, answered

How long does uPVC door installation take in London?
Typical lead time is 7-10 days from survey to fitting, because every door is made to measure by our sister company Prime Fabrication rather than ordered from a trade counter. Fitting itself takes about half a day per door, including removing the old door, sealing, and adjusting the locks.
What is multipoint locking on a uPVC door?
Instead of a single latch, a multipoint mechanism throws hooks, bolts and rollers into the frame at three to five positions along the door edge when you lift the handle. Combined with an anti-snap, anti-bump euro cylinder it is the biggest single upgrade over an old timber door with a nightlatch.
Can I have a uPVC back door with more glass?
Yes. Back doors can be fully glazed, half glazed or solid panelled, with obscure or laminated glass where privacy and security matter. French doors and inline patio sliders are built on the same profile, so the whole rear elevation can match.
What colours do uPVC doors come in?
White, anthracite grey (RAL 7016), black, cream and Chartwell green, plus woodgrain foils like golden oak and rosewood. Dual-colour doors, one colour outside and white inside, are made to order in the same 7-10 day window.
Do uPVC doors come with certification and a guarantee?
Yes. Qualifying replacement door installations are registered for Building Regulations compliance through FENSA, profiles carry a 10 year guarantee against warping and discolouration, and our workmanship is backed by an insurance-backed guarantee plus public liability cover through Simply Business.
