Emergency boarding up in South London, day and night.

White timber sash windows on a red-brick period terrace

24/7 board up, South London

South of the river, most of our board-up calls are to long streets of Victorian and Edwardian houses, to the shopping centres and high streets, and to suburban homes with big patio doors at the back. From Brixton and Peckham to Croydon, Bromley and Wimbledon, call 07915 903485 for a fixed price and a live arrival time.

What we board

South London homes and high streets

  • Bay windows and front doors on terraces in Clapham, Tooting, Brixton and Forest Hill
  • Patio doors and conservatories on semis in Bromley, Sutton and Bexleyheath
  • Shopfronts in Croydon town centre, Lewisham, Peckham Rye and Brixton
  • Flats above shops, where the door to the stairs is often the way in
  • Storm-damaged glass on houses near the parks and commons

Before and after

Glass to follow

One firm, from the board to the new pane

The opening is measured for its replacement at the same visit. We make sealed units and cut safety glass to size, then return to fit them, usually within 2-5 working days, so you are not chasing a second trade. Boarding up costs £120 to £250 per opening in London, with no call-out fee.

How a board-up is done properly: boarding up in London. For a broken pane we may be able to reglaze straight away: see emergency glazing.

Questions people ask

Which South London boroughs do you cover?

Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich, Wandsworth, Merton, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley and Bexley. When you ring, we tell you which glazier is coming and roughly when.

Can you board up a bay window on a Victorian terrace?

Yes. Each pane of the bay gets its own board, cut to the frame, so the bay keeps its shape and the sashes or casements can be reglazed rather than replaced.

A storm cracked our conservatory roof. Is that a board-up job?

Often, yes. We remove the loose glass or polycarbonate and cover the opening against rain, then quote for the replacement panels or a new roof.
